Who am I?

I was born in Maine, grew up in Florida, and today I call Ocala home. My life has taken me down many roads, some healthy and some deeply destructive. I know firsthand what addiction, dysfunction, and disconnection can do to a person and to the people they love. There was a time when my inability to make good decisions left me homeless. At one point it was me, my wife, and our two daughters living in a two man tent in West Palm Beach, Florida. My life did not unravel overnight. It began with severe neglect and abuse from birth, and those patterns carried through many of my relationships and choices. That reality shaped my nervous system, my sense of safety, and how I moved through the world long before I understood what was happening.

Healing did not come all at once. It came through responsibility, honesty, and learning how to stay present. Along the way I became a yoga instructor and learned the healing power of breath work and its role in regulating the nervous system, rebuilding trust with yourself, and reconnecting to your life. I have lived the long road from survival mode to stability, and I know that change is possible no matter your age or how long you have felt stuck.

These days you are most likely to find me kayaking a quiet river, mountain biking through the woods, or spending time outdoors in ways that keep me grounded and connected.

I am the father of two grown daughters and the grandfather of two granddaughters and one great granddaughter. I will be honest. I was not the man I wish I had been when I was younger. My own dysfunction kept me from being as present, nurturing, and connected as my family deserved. That regret lives with me, but so does responsibility. I cannot change the past, but I can choose to live differently now.

Life coaching, for me, is about helping others avoid years of disconnection and unnecessary suffering. It is about taking responsibility, rebuilding trust with yourself, learning practical tools like breath work and grounded self awareness, and living with purpose and integrity one step at a time. I am not here as a guru or a perfect example. I am here as someone who has fallen hard, gotten back up, and learned that there is always a next right step.

If you are willing to be honest, do the work, and reconnect with your life and the people in it, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
